A 2nd meeting of infection control committee was held on 23rd Nov 2022 at Jinnah international Hospital chaired by Chairperson Advisory Committee Prof Dr. Rubina Bashir HOD Gynae/Obs, Vice Chairperson Prof Dr. Munir Noor HOD Medicine & Management Head Infection Control Col. Dr. Hamid Saeed, attended by members & representatives from all the hospital departments. The meeting agenda was to prevent and control hospital-acquired infections by formulating strategies and ensuring SOPs are followed at Departmental levels. Labor Room & Operation theatre protocols for sterilization, disinfection, sharps safety were discussed in detail with daily, weekly, fortnightly and monthly basis schedules. Frequent cultures of staff and hospital equipments in use to see to growths and sensitivities of organisms identified esp in NICU and ICUs. Regular handwashing, respiratory hygiene/cough etiquette banners should be displayed in hospital premises. Workshops/demonstrations should be conducted for staff regularly Task allocation for passive monitoring to the members of the committee by paying surprise visits and remote camera monitoring of SOPs to be strictly followed by all stakeholders
